Defining and measuring Quality of Work / Définir et Mesurer la Qualité de l'Emploi
Quality of Work – the satisfaction derived from the professional environment – is increasingly important to employers, workers and policymakers in the context of labour shortages and a fast-changing job market. Quality of work goes beyond compensation and benefits and includes additional facets such as job security, skills development, autonomy, professional growth potential and overall work and social environment and is a crucial determinant of labour participation, productivity, and healthy economic performance.

New efforts are underway to capture various dimensions of Quality of Work in our economic statistics. These advancements will serve diverse needs, from shaping public policies and addressing skills shortages in key sectors to influencing employer HR strategies. Join us as we explore examples and advancements in understanding and assessing Quality of Work from Canada, the US and Europe and the potential implications for business leaders, career practitioners and policymakers.
